IT'S ALIVE!! ALIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!...I successfully received my test email notification - the email form works! Drop that ole' email address in there and you'll receive an email with a short synopsis of any new blog entries once every 24 hours. The emails go out a little after 1 am EST.

my calendar is an optional module built into wordpress, the blog software i use. i've also seen it on typepad and expression engine blogs, which are all PHP-coded blogs. time to get on the PHP blogwagon! here are a couple of blog comparison charts to check out: one and two. the free ones are the best :)
